Who is reviewing the Books?
The book reviews you find at Home of Reading might be written by one of several people. With the exception of those tagged in Andy’s Corner all of the reviews will be mixed together. When viewing the full review you will find the reviewers name directly under the title of the book as well as a small blurb about that person who reviewed that book. You can also find a listing of books only reviewed by that author by clicking on their name.
What do we review?
Among the lot of us we cover a pretty wide range of interested, so there is really no telling what book we will be reviewing on any given day. That being said there are a couple of go to genres that you are most likely to find. Below that you will also find a count of how many reviews we have given specific genres.
- Alternate History
- Historical Fiction
- Non-Fiction (science, cultural commentary, etc.)
- Science Fiction
- Young Adult (mostly reviewed by Andy)
Our Reviews Include
- Broken Down Rating (Plot, Characters, Writing, Pacing, Cover)
- Publishing Information (What published and date published)
- Number of Pages
- Format it was read in
Where are the reviews posted?
We syndicate our reviews out to several sites including Goodreads, Amazon, Booklikes, and Google Books. We also post on several social media sites when a new review or feature goes up to let people know that a book has been reviewed. These posts are usually on Google+, Facebook, and Twitter. If you want to be notified when a new review goes up, those social media sites are your best bet.
We will offer honest reviews for books submitted to us. At the moment we are not accepting self-published titles. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like us to review your book.
How do our reviews average out?
Below is a chart where you can find the count of each star rating we have handed out for a book.
